The E228 WFP is an economy monitor. It does not have height or, side to side adjustment. It does not have USB ports or S-video connectors. You need to make sure your video card can handle this resolution.

Thanks ctalia4000 for the feedback. Sorry to ask this (totally a nobo when it comes to monitors) but what exactly do you mean economy monitor. Does it mean it will not handle graphic programs (like Maya, or just that it doesn't come with the bells and whistles like USB, S-video, a lock)? I looked at the 2007WFP monitor and the species seem the same as the E228WFP, so only difference is the extra bells and whistles. I have a 512MB ATI graphics card (X1800XT). Here are the species on the card:
SPECIFICATIONs
INTERFACE/BUS- PCI Express, native x16 lane MEMORY - 512MB GDDR3 memory, 256-bit memory interface Memory Speed: 750 MHz CHIPSET - ATI RADEON X1800 XT Core Speed: 625 MHz 321 million transistors on 90nm fabrication process Sixteen pixel shader processors Eight vertex shader processors CONNECTORs - (1) 7-pin S-Video/Composite port (2) 24-pin DVI-I ports RESOLUTION - 2560 x 1600 1680 x 1050 1152 x 864 2048 x 1536 1600 x 1200 1024 x 768 1920 x 1440 1440 x 900 800 x 600 1920 x 1200 1280 x 1024 640 x 480 1920 x 1080 16:9 (16:9 aspect ratio monitors are supported on 1920x1080 and 848x480 on Windows XP and Windows 2000. The complete list of resolutions depends on the driver version and operating system. NOTE: resolutions are limited by the performance of the attached monitor).

This monitor only lacks the bells and whistles. Your video card will do fine.
You mentioned you will be using it for graphics so the 2007WFP would be the best choice. It uses an S-IPS/S-PVA 8-bit panel and the E228WFP uses a 6-bit TN panel. This means the E228WFP has less accurate color reproduction and the viewing angles are also a bit worse than the 2007. The only advantages of the E228WFP are a slightly lower price, bigger screen and a faster response time.
So you are saying that the specs listed by Dell is not really the actual proformace of the 22inch screen. They pretty much listed the specs that is expected "theroretically". So it is better to go with the 20.1" screen which is smaller in size but better in quality than the 22inch which larger but lesser quality.
well speaking as someone who actually owns one of these E22 monitors
(going on 2weeks now) i find it perfectly fine for what i use it for
Games and only games
colors - viewing angles - etc are excellent - viewing angle is BETTER than
on my dell w2607c i was previously useing
to name a few games i play on this computer
everquest2 - world of warcraft- auto assault - Vanguard beta
Titan quest- neverwinter knights 2 - FEAR expansion
all look great - better than the w2607 - all games run at monitor default of
1680x1050
Thank You mshelton1984 and ctalia4000 for helping me with my questions. And thank you Blintok for the feedback. I think this will (hopefully) be my last few quesitons. What is HDCP? How can I tell if the monitor is 8 bit or 6 bit TN?

In regards to the TN panel, the 2007WFP will have a higher contrast than the E228WFP? Is that why the 2007WFP is an Ultrashrap and the E228WFP is not?

This monitor will be fine for viewing DVD movies. You need to read the user guide before you buy.
