DVI Cable

Question

I have just received my new Dell Dimension 8400 and I need to extend the monitor cable to the base, can I user any DVI cable with my 1905FP monitor and ATI RadeonTM X300 SE i.e DVI-I to DVI-I Duel Link. I think the cable that came with the PC was a DVI-D to DVI-D ?.   Regards   Thick As

no you monitor is only digital out. DVI-I has 4 extra pins around the horizontal spade. You have to get a DVI-D single link is what came with the monitor,but duel will work.
