It's all a matter of if you like it. LCD screens are getting better at faster moving images. However, if you are having problems with Ghosting (typically called "AfterGlow" too), then I would be looking at returning it.
Faster response times definately help, but not all hardware is created equal. One of the new Dell 20" LCDs rated very high for DVDs. Check out www.TomsHardware.com for a full review.
I own an NEC 17" NX with VGA and DVI inputs. I hardly notice any afterglow on DVDs, and am very happy with this one. (even though it's 2 years old now)
If you are happy, keep it. If not, return it. Sound and simple advice.
