Dell E2210c Monitor resolution problem
Hi guys, Good day,
I recently bought a new set of dell precision T3500 with windows 7 pre-installed with it and monitor is Dell E2210c everything works fine except for the monitor resolution which I could only set to a maximum of 1280 x 720. I tried changing the resolution by the graphics driver which is NVIDIA to no avail. When I look into the driver information for the monitor it was just a generic Non-pnp Monitor which I think is the default driver provided by windows. I tried updating the driver but I couldn't find any driver for this model anywhere, not even in dell support website. Has anyone encountered this type of problem? Why is dell not providing drivers for this type of monitor?
Any comments and suggestions is highly appreciated.
Thanks,

When purchased from Dell, the box should have included the following -
E2210 Flat Panel Monitor
Monitor with stand
Power Cable
DVI cable
VGA Cable (attached to the monitor)
Drivers and Documentation media
Quick Setup Guide
Safety Information
I found the driver here. It says E2210f but give it a shot.

Thanks a lot for the response, anyway I had already tried the driver you suggested and unfortunately it has the same maximum settings with the default windows driver. Could it be an issue with Windows 7? I had a friend which has the same type of monitor but his operating system is on windows Xp and he has no problem with his screen resolution.

Hi Cris,
Good day, I have an update for this, I have an officemate who has the same type of monitor and runs on windows 7 and he was able to get the maximum screen resolution. I noticed that the difference between our settings was the connection type, he was using VGA and I was using DVI connection. Does this have to do with the DVI connection and my graphics card? I am using NVIDIA Quadro NVS 420. If so, how do I resolve this issue?
