Dell P1130

I have a P1130 I am trying to hook up to latitude through a docking station. I've checked all the cabling and even hooked directly to my laptop still the same results. The power indicator go on "Green" for about 30 secs. and then turns "Amber" any help would be appreciated.

Does the monitor display a "No video signal" warning?  Check to make sure monitor is getting signal.  Also make sure the right input is selected, either buy connecting to part 1 or 2 in back of monitor and/or by using input button on front of monitor.  Because Amber light is coming on in such a short time,  I would check the power save, and screen saver mode and latitude.  The amber light indicates that computer is shutting down or monitor is getting signal that computer is shutting down.

Good Luck

try to turn on the monitor without nothing and check if it's coming a box that says self test. if that's coming up then should work finw with your laptop now as the prev. person mention before check if it's on 1 or 2.  do not discard that could a problem with a vga port on the latitude.
