Dell P990 21'' dim display under XP but Software Autodesk Inventor 3D display bright

our customer has a Dell P990 21'' display runing under Windows XP Prof. with XP2.

The Monitor is correctly listed in Windows device manager as P990, but the display looks very dim.

The customer uses an 3D program called 'Inventor 3D' in version 9 from the company Autodesk.

He starts the programm - nothing changed on display it's still dim - now he opened an object - dim display changed into a bright and brillant looking display!

There is a profil "OPEN GL TM default" - V.130 Build 4.10.01.2105-3.1.834.0 in the display options dialogue.

If I change it to DirectX, in the 3D program the display stays dim and do not change if i open an object.

I don't think that it has something to do with graphiccard, it's a Wildcat VP880 Pro with 256MB.

 

So how can I make to running always the bright picture with this monitor in normal windows mode, too?
