I am also having difficulty finding my service tag. * 24" and smaller monitors do not get a service tag number. You would have received a Dell Order number on the original Dell invoice tying you to the monitor purchase.
You have two choices: (1) Take it and the receipt back to Best Buy and see if they will exchange it. (2) Save the invoice from the store. Based on the purchase date on that invoice, we will warranty the monitor for 3 years. You will need to contact Dell Order Support (not Dell Technical Support). You will provide to them via email a picture or PDF of the original invoice showing us the purchase date, and your information. So you would provide the following data to the Dell Order Support representative: Brick or Online Store = Best Buy Purchase date = Monitor Model = S2340M Dell Monitor PPID Serial number: [Your] Email = Name = Shipping Address = Phone = Issue =

Yes, the issue still occurs.
I bought my monitor at a local Best Buy store and wasn't aware of the Dell Order Number.
