You can review the specs for each at Dell's site but the main differences I saw are that the 1905FP has a faster response time (20ms vs. 25ms) and a higher constrast ratio (800:1 vs 600:1)

The 1905FP is my first LCD so all I can tell you is it's beautiful! I actually had to turn the default brightness way down to achieve a level my eyes are used to, but for gaming it is as good as any FD trinitron monitor I have owned.

Is it true that the 1905FP does not have a DVI connection?  Does this even make a difference?  I have read several posts where users state that they cannot see a difference in visual quality between standard VGA connections and DVI connections.

Edit:  sorry.  I had my monitors mixed up.   It is the other Dell 19" LCD that does not have a DVI connection....   the E193FP.
