The cable you bought is designed to ONLY do the opposite of what you need = Device DP out port --> DP to HDMI adapter --> Monitor HDMI in port
The P2210 can only do 1680x1050. To connect it to the HDMI out of the PS4 Slim Pro, you would need a HDMI to DVI cable. But no audio through that cable.
My advice, get a different monitor that has an HDMI in port.
* What specific cable did you purchase? * What specific Dell monitor model? * What specific PC computer? * What specific video card/GPU is in the PC computer? * List all of the video out ports on the PC computer or installed video card/GPU
The cable I bought is a Black Standard DisplayPort DP to HDMI 1.4 Adapter with Audio support 3D for ATI, my monitor is a Dell P2210, my idea was to connect my PlayStation 4 Slim Pro to the monitor.
