Does 3008WFP support 2560x1600 via HDMI?
Hi,
the manual says that this monitor supports 2560x1600 on all digital inputs, but it does not work (only 1920 x 1200) . Is it possible to use this resolution via HDMI?
I am using Windows 7 the Driver from the Dell Homepage and a pair of GTX 286M.
Regards,
Markus

HDMI is a video mode and not a graphics mode. The highest HDMI can go is 1080p which is 1920x1080.

According to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hdmi) and my personal experience that’s not right.
“The HDMI specification defines the protocols, signals, electrical interfaces, and mechanical requirements of the standard.[39] The maximum pixel clock rate for HDMI 1.0 was 165 MHz, which was sufficient for supporting 1080p and WUXGA (1920×1200) at 60 Hz. HDMI 1.3 increased that to 340 MHz, which allows for higher resolution (such as WQXGA, 2560×1600) across a single digital link.[40] “
But as I understand you, the 3008WFP cannot display 2560x1600 over an HDMI Connection?
