Rim Shot,

If you open and close the folder on monitor 1, it will reopen on monitor 1.
If you open and close the folder on monitor 2, it will reopen on monitor 2.

ChrisM,

That's rhe way I want it to work but it doesn't. If I open a folder on monitor 1 the folder will open on monitor 1, but if I move a folder over to monitor 2 it will open on monitor 1.

RimShot.....when you set up the dual monitors, did you set it for "extended" desktop?

Palso,

No, I don't see an option like that. Where do I find that? The only thing I did was to set it to dual view.

thanks

RimShot, I don't have the same graphics card that you do.....I have the ATI Radeon X1300 Pro 256MB DVIVGA, TV-Out and it comes with a "Catalyst Control Center".  When I called Dell Support to set it up the tech (thru "Dell Connect") went into the control center and set up my monitors (I have a 19" UltraSharp and a 19" CRT) as "extended".  I use several graphics programs, inlcuding Photoshop CS and I wanted to have my work area on one monitor and my tools on the other....he said that I needed the extended desktop.  I don't know if your graphics card software has something similar to the "Catalyst Control Center".  You might want to check into that.

nVidia introduced a new Control Panel interface in version 9x (you have to enable Advanced view to access some settings). v84.21 uses the classic Display Properties interface.

Rim Shot,

Read the User Guides.

BTW, the latest drivers (v93.71) support your card.

gpro,

This is an 8X agp card. I have been in touch with XFX tech support and they tell me that the 84.21 drivers are best for my application ?  I really need to get this to work like I want and I think it should be. Can you give me an idea as to what settings I should look for in the control panel that may corrct this issue?

I did have the 93.71 drivers installed but was told by XFX that the 84.21 drivers would be better for my application?

This card is set to advanced view.

I have read the users guide which I downloaded and don't see anything that can correct this issue. It may be there but I am not sure what to look for?

Thanks........
