I've just tried to set up a dual monitor configuration on a Dell Vostro 400 with a ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro graphics Card.

Using one monitor in each of the VGA & DVi ports, I can use the extended desktop across both monitors, but when I connect both monitors, through a DVi splitter, various things happen, like the machine crashes, the screens replicate but at a basic 600x800 resolution etc. but the extended desktop doesn't work!!

Any suggestions would be greatfully received.
