Bralda,
Chances are , it is the inverter. Just like the swollen capacitor problem dell is having with the mother boards, the same seem to exist with their E152/153FPc flat screens. I have about 7 right now that are dead and expecting more. Most did not out last the warranty and the rest is just scrap heap.
You can only expect 3 yrs. out of these at best. You can repair it yourself if mechanically apted.
Just need long needle nose pliers, small phillip screw driver, and a flat screw driver to separate the case from the bottom at the only 2 slots where anything can fit.. The part # is  715L1074-H. May want to try: http://www.lcdrepair.us/e152-e153fpc-inverter-power.html  to see an actual picture of it.
took me about 12 min. to dismantel. Just be careful not to stess any wires or damage with the pliers. Good Luck!:smileyhappy:

Can any of you direct me toward a source for ordering the correct capacitors to replace the swollen one in this monitor?
