E1715S, PowerNap
I will be using a Dell E1715S monitor. I am not going to use the monitor with a computer that runs windows. I will not have the opportunity to install any Dell drivers or software. I do not want PowerNap to dim or put my screen into any sort of sleep mode. Is the PowerNap feature enabled by default out of the box without any software installed, or is the PowerNap feature only enabled using the software drivers?

See page 30 in the online E1715S User's Guide. PowerNap is not included in the E1715S Menu OSD. PowerNap is only included in the additionally installed DDM (Dell Display Manager) software.
