ladyfire,

Yes, you can install the cd in the system to get the monitors profile loaded.

this isn't working.  when i put in that cd, it does't install anything.  it just gives me the specifications for the monitor and a basic overview of the monitor (how to use it etc.).  it gives no instructions for any type of installation, nothing about a video card.  this is basically a users guide on the CD.  is there a different cd that should have come with my computer?  thank you!

Ladyfire,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
Your video drivers can be downloaded from here.
Once you have downloaded the file, double click it and follow the
install prompts.

hi, thanks for your help.  well, i did exactly as it said to do and got the drivers installed.  it said that it installed fine but when i checked the graphics, it was still the same.  it looks fuzzy and with little tiny squares that are trying to form the graphics.  i can't get a clear picture on anything.  like i said, the text is fine, its just any graphics or photos.  so now what do i do???

thanks!

Ladyfire,

We need to verify whether the problem is with your monitor, video card, or software.
-Try the monitor on another system, does it have the same problem?
-Try another monitor on your system, does the new monitor have the same problem?
-Try opening all different kinds of image formats, *.jpg, *.gif, *.bmp, *.tiff, do they all have the problem?

You can also try the following troubleshooting for the monitor.
-Auto Adjust the monitor.
-Perform a Factory Reset to factory settings.
You can see how to perform these steps here.

ok, i did as you told me to do and it seems now that it is not the monitor.  i hooked up my monitor to my son's dell computer and the graphics were clear.  i have done everything to try and fix this problem but nothing is working.  so now what?  i have got to get this issue resolved and fast, my business relies on graphics and this is making it very difficult to work with.  HELP!!!!!!  thanks.

ladyfire,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

You may want to replace the video card in the system.

Try to change the resolution of your video card to match the default resolution of the flat panel (1280 * 1024), for sure this tip will solve your problem, to change your video card resolution do the next:

Right click on the windows desktop, click properties. Now click on the configuration tab. Move the slider of the screen size to 1280*1024 and click apply. If you see the image click yes, if not, wait 15 seconds. And click aceptar.

Bye
