E248WFP, corrupted self-extracting executable
I have a Dell E248WFP Monitor that has an an update to the Monitor driver dated 3-11-2013. I successfully downloaded the file. The problem is that when I try to execute the self extracting exe file, I get an error "Invalid self-extractor configuration. This file might be corrupted." Well, I downloaded the file on three different computers, all have the same error. Could you please fix this or make available a repaired file available on the FTP site. Maybe you can extract the files and make a traditional zip file available here in this thread.
Link to self extracting file below

Hi Tim,
Thank you for the feedback. Yes, there does seem to be some problem with the driver file at the back end. I have raised this concern to the appropriate department. Please allow us 2 to 3 business days and I will keep you posted for any update.

Hi Tim,
While we are awaiting for a response from the concerned department, is there any problem you are facing with the monitor in particular to which I can assist you?
Please feel free to reply.

I am using the same monitor (as the primary monitor) with the Dell Latitude E6530 (Win 7 x64). Using a vga-cable the resolution of 1920x1200 seems to be not optimal, e.g. Icons are looking cloudy. Could the new driver be helpful? Can I try something else?

Hi HughJack,
Well the culprit here seems to be the VGA Cable. There are many types of VGA cables present in the market. You need a High Resolution VGA Cable like the one here, that supports up to a maximum resolution of 1920x1200 .
Your monitor supports up to a maximum of the same resolution and your latitude laptop supports up to a maximum resolution of 2048x1536 on VGA. The cable however which you are using might not be able to transfer that amount of resolution thus affecting your display quality. Try changing the cable to High Resolution VGA one or connect the monitor to the laptop using a DVI cable.
There is no need to update the drivers.
Hope this helps.

Hi Tim,
I have found a workaround to install the drivers as we still await a response from the concerned department regarding the driver file. First, download the Driver file from the FTP website and save it on to the computer. Now, do not run that file. Next, follow the steps below:
This way you can update the driver of your monitor while your request to fix the driver on the website is still underway.
Hope this helps.
