How to Update BIOS? Dell Dimension 8400

Objective is to
Update BIOS from version 5 to version 9
My understanding is that version 9 is Latest.  
for Dell Dimension 8400

Windows XP

A driver that goes on a
1.44 MB Floppy disk,
then press F6,
during a Clean install of Windows XP.  

Purpose
Update BIOS from version 5 to version 9. 
Dell Dimension 8400 

While installing winXP
the error message is
STOP 0x0000007B …

It is now February 2020.
This Dell Dimension 8400 is about 16 years old.
Got it at yard sale. 
No support disks. 

This Dell Dimension 8400 runs Ubuntu 19.10

The idea is to install Win XP
Then Update BIOS from version 5 to version 9. 
Then Install Ubuntu 19.10

Because unsure if Ubuntu 19.10 can update BIOS.

Because unsure what Ubuntu 19.10 commands are needed
to update BIOS for Dell Dimension 8400
