I can't update my monitor Dell Ultrasharp U2410 Rev. A01 to Rev. A02.

Hello!.

In the last step of the instructions my monitor fails: («please cycle your monitor by switching off and on AC power to the monitor»). So, my monitor turn off but not turn on. Why reason?. The current FW version of my monitor is M1f19.

Moreover, I have found a dead red subpixel. It isn't covered under warranty?, right?.

Thank you!.

I answer myself to the second question:

Sub-pixel Dark Dot = A pixel that remains unlit resulting in a black or colored dot on a full white background.
Ultrasharp, Professional, Alienware monitors = 6 or more warrants a replacement monitor

Sorry.

adlfdlf,

We did not offer the option for customers to flash a monitor from A01 to A02. So what instructions are you referring to?

I refer to the instructions included in pdf document «DELL U2410 FW upgrade procedure USB ISP.pdf» which in turn is contained in the file «U2410 A02 Firmware.rar». The file «U2410 A02 Firmware.rar» is available in the section «Check this FAQ before posting your question/U2410 FAQ/Fimware Update A02».

Yes, the monitor is perfectly functional. (With a small exception) -> The red dead subpixel may have been caused by the flash attempt?

Understood. That should have been pulled. So at this time, because of the flash attempt, is your monitor functional or not?
