Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver - Upgrade

Hi,

On Friday, June 10, I received a pop up notice from my Dell PC that there was an upgrade available as shown in the subject line above.  I downloaded it and installed it to my PC - but ever since then, my graphics which had been just fine are now very small.  I have adjusted them through the Control Panel but would really like it to be the way it was previously.  I have attempted to do a System Restore but it will not work either.  Can I safely uninstall the file that I installed?  If so, how best do I accomplish this task? Here's the complete information:
Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver
Dell Version A01 Production Version 14.7 Build 6.14.10.3889
Graphics Driver Release Notes
Thanks!
Michele

Same problem as Michele. After loading the "recommended driver upgrade" my monitor setting change. I notice the change after the power saver had activated and I log back on. Random settings will change value...ie:horizontal size change to 100% from normal 63%. Its driving me nuts and I just wish I had the original setup back on my windows XP.

Beware of:

Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver
Dell Version A01
Production Version 14.7
Build 6.14.10.3889

How can I un-install this?

Us your system restore program and go back to a date prior to the mess up and see if this helps....Remember, You never have to update everything if what you have is working just fine.....

Thanks for the suggestion, and I will heed your advise about not applying every update that is available.  However, unfortunately for me, the System Restore does not work on my system...I attempted to restore to each date prior to June 10, and the system will not restore - it does give me an error message.  Doesn't help me though!

Sorry to hear about the restore not working.  How about uninstalling the driver than re-installing it again to see if this works...Let us know how things are working after the re-install...Good luck  You may want to go into system restore and turn it off, than back on again to get things back to normal.  However, this will not give you any restore points to go back to, just a fix to the restore program.

Have you tried a driver rollback?

Open the device manager, under Display Adapters open the Intel listing, click the driver tab, and perform a rollback.

Otherwise try this for fun:  During the next reboot, press F8 before the XP load screen appears, select "enable VGA mode", then try to change your resolution/refresh settings again.  They may stick that time
