The only differnce between an LCD monitor and an LCD TV is its native resolution. For example, a 30" LCD TV has a resolution of 1024x768 which is the same resolution as a low quality 15" LCD monitor. An LCD monitor will have a higher resolution, like the 20" 2001fp which has a resolution of 1600x1200.

Does this mean that the LCD monitor has a better image than the same screen size LCD TV Monitor?

Is it O.K. to use an LCD only monitor to view TV?

Good Question Cherrypicker, I'd like to know also. I think you would be able to get true HDTV using a 20" LCD monitor vs. a 20" LCD TV being that the resolution of the 20" LCD TV is not HDTV but only EDTV. Correct? Maybe?

If I set my resolution on my current 19" CRT monitor equal to that of a 20" LCD TV (I think about 800 X 600), will that give me an exact size of what the icons and such will look on the LCD TV? I'm trying to figure out if the lower resolution of an LCD TV will make everything too big.

Thanks,
James
