Like to add Second Monitor, Need other Graphics Card?
Hi all,
Satisfied user of a Dimension 4550, about two years old (the PC that is, not me),
Card is a NVidia Geforce MX 420, 1 monitor (DELL flatpanel) and tv/out.
I like very much to add another monitor (same type), but the info is not clear about
whether what card to install and/or whether my Dimension supports
that card and the second monitor option.
Currently thinking NVidia Geforce FX5600 128MB or ATI Radeon 9800 pro 128MB.
Who can help?

>If you want to upgrade your graphics card, the more costly ones like 9800 are better for gaming. A less costly one is good for most any other use. Most cards have a DVI and a VGA output, like my 5900XT. The dvi connection will give a better picture with a dvi equipped monitor. Alternately the dvi to vga converter can be used with a vga only monitor, like I am using right now.
