Lines across Dell screen

What specific Dell monitor model? Connected to what computer using what cabling?

The monitor is a SE2417HG. It's not connected to any computer, it just has power, I did a test where the screen would show me different colors, like the whole screen, turned Gray, Red, Blue, and other different colors. When I did the test, I was able to see the lines going across it. The lines cover about an Inch of the screen.

It is plug in into a Surge protection. It was purchase from costco, it is a new dell monitor. I will plug it into a wall socket and try that test.

Is the monitor power cable plugged directly into the wall socket? No UPS or surge protector? If not, do that and retest. Was this SE2417HG purchased NEW directly from Dell?

If the lines still appear, inside of 30 days from the purchase date from CostCo, they should exchange it for you.

I dont have that option anymore. I plug it to a wall jack instead and i am still having the same problem.

Get it exchanged.
