M991 Monitor

If anyone can assist with this problem, would be much appreciated.

I have a Dell M991 Monitor 19". It was working fine until I was adjusting the screen size and I accidentally chose to reset to factory defaults.

Now when I am using the monitor, if I am using a program, the screen zooms in after about 5 seconds, so that the text and graphics get huge, then the monitor goes black.

Strangely, this doesn't happen if I haven't opened any programs that would appear in the task bar, nor does it happen during startup or shutdown.

I am connected to the monitor via a Dell Inspiron notebook.

Any advice would be extremely helpful.

Thank you.

Any zoom feature you can adjust, like windows accessibility features for the sight impaired.
My 19" Dell Trinitron has a zoom feature in the OSD menu but I don't think it would zoom in that far.

I have a zoom feature on a keyboard and it sounds like it would be stuck forward in your situation but it only zooms in on some apps. and not others.

Almost sounds like the circuit board went haywire in the monitor.

Maybe someone else has some ideas.
