Hi Cra8tive,

I appreciate you for following a few troubleshooting steps to fix the issue. By looking at the details you have mentioned it looks like the monitor is faulty. To check the same, I request you to follow the below steps to reset the monitor settings:

(1) Click on the OSD menu button which looks like the below figure.

(2) Now using the up/down arrow keys move to Factory reset and select it as shown in the below figure.

(3) This changes all the user-adjustable settings including color, position, brightness, contrast and OSD hold time to the factory defaults. The language of the OSD does not change.

(4) Once this is done, remove all the external peripherals from the monitor for some time.

(5) This releases the static on the monitor (if present).

(6) Now try and connect the monitor, if this doesn’t work then the monitor might be faulty.

If you have any further questions please reply to the same post.

I can't access the OSD with this monitor when connected and not, it not locked but more unavailable during the self test feature check and power safe mode

Hi Cra8tive,

I suggest you to run a LCD BIST by following the below steps to determine if the screen is working fine:

(1) The Computer needs to be turned on.

(2) Remove the VGA cable from behind the monitor(the cable that connects the monitor and the computer)

(3) Now check if you see colored lined on the monitor.

If the colors are not displayed they the monitor might have failed.

It seems I can access the OSD by using my PS3 at low settings but only show a black screen

Hi Cra8tive,

We have tried doing all the steps, nothing worked this indicates that the monitor might have failed and needs to be replaced. I request you to send the order number of the monitor through private message. Depending on the warranty status I can help you further.

I have added you as a friend. Please accept my friend request by clicking on my name highlighted in blue and then click on “Friends” tab at the top and then click on “Request to Review” and finally click on “Accept” button.

I am sending you a private message as well. Click on “Inbox” to respond to the message and provide system’s Service Tag and contact details so I may access your system records and check for further course of action. You could also click on Start Conversation to send a private message.
