Monitor support via email?

OK so for the last couple months my Dell 2408WFP monitor has had this thin yellow line running down the right side when I first turn it on. At first it went away really quickly so I didn't think much of it. However recently it has expanded to 2 pixels wide and is taking 15+ minutes to disappear. I looked up the original order and the monitor still has a few months left on the 3 year warranty so I came to Dells site hoping to contact support. The first issue I ran into is that the monitor does not have a service tag so it's basically impossible to contact tech support online. I found the post at the top of this forum suggesting that I contact order support instead, so I followed the instructions and sent a request. After about a week I still had not received a response so today I decided to call instead. That was a disaster! I got transferred around to the wrong department 7 times. Then the last guy who picked up the phone accidentally hung up on me. So after 20+ minutes and 7 people I got no where. :(

Is there any way for me to get support on this thing with having to call back? I'd much rather deal with someone via email so I could deal with it on my timerather then spending time on hold and/or getting transferred around.

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dan

Go back to the top of the Monitor board and open the second Announcement, "My monitor doesn't have a service tag number? How do I get service...".

I have already followed those instructions and after over a week never received a reply.

I have no idea why they have not responded. Your best bet is to call in, 800-624-9897.
