My DDM (Dell Display Manager) Testing

U3415W appears in the Device Manager- Monitor- Dell U3415W (mini DisplayPort)* GeForce GTX Titan X DP out --> DP to mDP cable --> U3415W mDP in * Latitude E7240* Intel HD driver 10.18.14.4170* Windows 7* Installed the U3415W driver inf. U3415W appears in the Device Manager- Monitor- Dell U3415W (HDMI2)* Intel HD HDMI out --> HDMI to HDMI cable --> U3415W HDMI in (not MHL in) I disregarded the DDM on the U3415W CD and also from the Dell File Library. I went here to get the latest version www.delldisplaymanager.com/ddmsetup.exe * During the installation, I chose =- Create a desktop icon- Add uninstall icon to Start Menu- Add to Desktop Context Menu- Run this program as an administrator (disables auto-startup)* I chose yes to the UAC message* It installed version 1.30.1800, 2/6/16* On both systems, the DDM icon appeared on the taskbar at the end of the installation * I held shift and right clicked the icon, then clicked, 'Check for new version'. It stated I was on the latest* I right clicked the icon and opened the DDM* Under Manual Mode, I chose the Game setting for the Alienware Area 51-R2 and Multimedia for the Latitude E7240

For most people the 'Run this program as an administrator (disables auto-startup)' is neither necessary nor desirable. It is there mainly for the benefit of those who are running pre-Vista apps that require admin privileges.
