There's the SP2008WFP - but it's an entry level monitor, not exactly a replacement for the 2007WFP.

The SP2008WFP is not an UltraSharp and does not have an S-IPS panel.

Yes, that's what I meant - it is discussed on that link. I thought it might be assumed that the SP2008WFP was a successor to the 2007WFP - I didn't mean to add to the confusion :smileytongue:

It seems Dell has chosen "not" to introduce anything new that even begins to compare with the 20 inch ultrasharp 2007WFP widescreen flat panel monitor (at least not in the 20-22 inch LCD lines).  This 2007WFP widescreen has received fabulous reviews online.  Unfortunately, it is becoming more difficult to buy at this time.

Apparently, there is some worldwide shortage of the materials to make the betters monitors that have the S-IPS or VA Panel technology.  How this shortage occurred is beyond me.  Maybe that is a google question.

The SP2008WFP is "not" a replacement for the 20 inch ultrasharp 2007WFP widwscreen digital flat panel monitor.  Right now, there is not anything (at least from Dell) that compares with the ultrasharp 2007WFP model in the 20-22 inch LCD lines.  Just thought I'd clear up any confusion on that :-)
