P2414H, Display port problem

Hello,

i  bought a P2414H and i'm having a problem with DP connection. When i plug DP in both monitor and graphic card (GeForce GTX 970) screen is not working ("Entering the energy saving mode"). Due to no other cables in the monitor box i have to use VGA-VGA (adapter to DVI)

System Windows 8.1 (up to date)
Graphic Card: GeForce GTX 970 (ports: 2x DVI, DP) (up to date, no beta drivers possible).

What is the solution to make DP work?

Thanks a lot

* Turn off the computer, then the monitor
* Disconnect the VGA cable from both and the VGA to DVI adapter
* Connect the DP to DP cable from the video card DP out to the monitor DP in
* Turn on the computer, then the monitor
* Press the monitor Menu button (3rd from top)
* Go to Input Source
* Choose DisplayPort
* Exit the Menu. What happens?

Hello,

thanks for an answer. Did exactly what you said in the exact order.

Nothing has changed- after i turn on the monitor the white frame appeared with the "Entering Power Save Mode" text in it. Then the screen goes dark.

There was no "No DP cable connection" text when i enter the "DP mode" (in the screen menu) so i guess the DP cable works. Is that correct assumption? I have no where to check it.

Looking for a reply

We need another monitor with DP to test on that video card. Also, consider buying a different DP cable and testing it.
