P2414H, blank screen for 4-5 seconds randomly
Hi guys,
I got this P2414H about 3 years ago but I never played any games with it. Now I want to play some games and it's not really possible because it randomly turns black for 4-5 seconds and that is deadly in gaming. This is in Windows 7 x64, latest updates, using onboard HD 3000 GPU on DVI port. I tried it with an R9 280x and R9 390 on DP port, same thing but the black screen is even longer, maybe 6-7 seconds, that's why I decided to use onboard GPU. I don't want to buy a new monitor but if this can't be fixed, I must pick up another brand. By the way the problem started like 6 months after I got the P2414H but since I wasn't gaming on it, it didn't bother me too much. In the beginning, it only blanked out for about twice a day (using it 12 hours + daily) but these days it's doing it up to 6-7 times a day. It's really annoying.

* For my internal notes, click my name and private message me the P2414H service tag number and 20 digit alphanumeric serial number
* Turn the P2414H off
* Disconnect every cable (including the power cable) from the rear and side of the monitor
* If a mechanical P2414H power button, press the button in for 8 seconds (clears any residual power in the circuits). If not a mechanical power button, just wait 8 seconds
* Reconnect only the P2414H power cable and a single video cable. Then retest
