P2414H, no VGA cable message?
Hi,
I have a Dell P2414H monitor that I was using with a previous laptop (now deceased). The monitor has connections for DP, DVI, and VGA. My new laptop has ports for USB and HDMI. Am I out of luck?

The laptop HDMI cannot upconvert to the monitor DP via a straight cable. So you should look for one of these =
HDMI to DVI cable
HDMI to VGA cable
