P2415Q, USB Switch on single USB upstream port?

Hi everybody!

I own a Dell P2415Q monitor which I'm very happy about and I would like an information about its usage.

Currently, I use the P2415Q with two computers, one connected with HDMI and the other with DisplayPort. I'm planning to update my setup in order to seamlessly switch between one computer and the other, considering also USB peripherals attached to the monitor (keyboard, mouse and 5.1 usb audio card).

Unfortunately, my P2415Q only has one USB upstream port, which is needed to power the hub itself.

Is it possible to use a USB switch like this one to connect the upstream port to two devices?

Or do you know other ways to better share this P2415Q and its connected devices with more computers?

Another thing: if the monitor is turned on but in stand by, and the upstream usb connected, will the downstream usb ports work as usual?

Thank you so much!

I am interested in this subject too and looking forward to finding a proper way to connect my Dell monitor with single upstream USB port to two computers with sharing keyboard and mouse.
