P2415Q, XPS 8500, connection?
I have an XPS 8500 computer and bought a P2415Q monitor and it connects with a DP to mDP cable. But the back of the XPS 8500 doesn’t have a mDP port. What can I do?

Does the XPS 8500 have an added discrete video card installed in it?
* If yes, I need to which one and what video out ports are on that video card.
* If no. This means you are using the XPS 8500 onboard video out ports which are HDMI and VGA. You would then have to connect like this =
XPS 8500 HDMI out port --> retail HDMI to HDMI cable --> P2415Q HDMI in port
