P2418H, dock, USB downstream

Question

I am trying to enable the USB ports on my Dell monitors. I have connected the USB-A connection from my Dell docking station to the my P2418H. The USB ports still cannot recognize any thumb drive when plugged in.

I actually have a setup as follows;

Dell Latitude 5320 Laptop connected to a Docking station

2 x DELL flat monitors

* Do you mean the P2418HT?

P2418HZ (first monitor)

MSIP-REM-TPF-2418HZ

S/N: CN-005KH1-TV200-04D-0BYB-A10

P2719H (second monitor)

S/N: CN-0PD21M-WSL00-03H-079B-A09

* What specific dock model?

WD19S

PPID: CN-04JXDM-CMC00-18L-114D-A00

* What specific PC model?

Latitude 5320

11th Gen Intel Core i5-1145g7

* What operating system?

Windows 10

* How is the unknown PC connecting to the unknown dock? List every cable and port used

Built in Cable from the dock to the laptop via Type C

* How is the P2418HT connecting to the unknown dock? List every cable and port used

Connection from docking station to monitor is via display port video cable (supplied by Dell)

The same connection with the other P2719H monitor.

As mentioned, in my enquiry, have the Type B cable connected at the back of the monitors and via USB connection to the docking station.
