A pen was never tested by Dell with the P2418T monitor. The P2418HT sales site never mentioned a pen in its specifications nor does it list a pen under Accessories.
Page 11 of the online P2418HT User's Guide states; Input Method = Bare finger
All users can do is test pens and let us know what happens.
