P2418HZm, USB 3 cable microphone and camera problem
I have a P2418HZm attached to my Dell laptop via HDMI and a USB 3 cable (not the one supplied by Dell, but I've tried to different OTS USB 3 cables. DM (Device Manager) and Skype don't see the monitors camera. DM and Skype see the monitors speakerphone as a microphone, but after selecting it in Skype there is no sign of it listening. Finally, the downstream USB ports on the side of the monitor are functioning. Any help appreciated.

* What specific Dell laptop model?
* What operating system?
* What is the P2418HZm non-private 20 digit serial number?
* Slide the P2418HZm Webcam cover shutter to the left to open it
* Go here and follow the instructions. The test might find "two" camera, be sure to choose the P2418HZm Webcam. If you see yourself, the P2418HZm Webcam is functioning
