P991 - Problems! Problems!

Question

I have a P991 monitor that is giving me a number of problems. First, at opening and closing, a luminous spectrum (page size greenish or grayish) appears; second, a number of diagonal coloured fine lines evenly spaced are constantly present on the screen; finally, the colours fade in and fade out.

I am desperately looking for an answer to those long lasting problems.

Reinstall the video card drivers to see if that will resolve the issue with the monitor. If you need information on how to load the drivers you can view the FAQ listed in the Dimension Video Conference Forum.

See if you can borrow another monitor and try it. If problems remain, your videocard may be bad, or need reseating in the motherboard.
