Potential problem with my 2407?

Just switched on my monitor to find it very dark with the colour slightly off i.e whites are displayed as a warmy orange colour. Ive tried a full reset of the monitor using softMCCS + reset my graphic card colour settings to find it fixes the problem temporarily but within 2 minutes it returns back. The monitor is only 6 months old and has been working fine bar some minimal colour ghosting and blanding.

Whats the deal time to send it back??

Cheers.

krazeswift,

Do you have another PC to try this monitor on? Or, another monitor to try on the PC?

Thanks for the reply chris.

I dont as it goes but i do have Windows XP and Vista installed on separate hard drives and the colour and darkness problems exists on both installs so cant be down to drivers.

As far as im aware its not down to hardware as everything is fairly new and has been runing fine and the fact that it starts of bright and white and then slowly degrades makes me certain it is the monitor.

krazeswift,

How does the Self Test look?

* Turn off the monitor
* Unplug the monitor video cable (either the VGA or DVI) from the back of the computer. They should never be connected at the same time to the same video card
* Turn on the monitor
* The floating dialog box should appear on screen (against a black background)
