Power surge/blinking monitor

My Dell E773c monitor has recently started to blink one time after haveing been turned for about 5 minutes. The monitor is out of warranty, has been for about 9 months (October of 03 is the ship date for the computer). The blink looks like a power failure/surge blink, where the screen starts to go black, but recovers and is then fine for the rest of my session on it. The whole thing lasts about 2 seconds. It doesn't make any difference if I am online or not. I don't believe it is related to that. It seems to be more of a power problem. The CPU doesn't seem to be having the same problem, but it's a little hard to tell because the monitor is what I see. It only does it once per session, and not for every session. Any ideas?

Thanks,
slarson
