AFAIK, the AS501PA soundbar requires the user to turn it off. The loud buzzing sound is not normal, though. Maybe the volume level is set too high.
The similar AS501 soundbar gets its power directly from a Dell UltraSharp monitor. So, when the monitor is shut down, the soundbar also turns off. However, the E207WFP is not an UltraSharp monitor and is not compatible with the AS501.
