Problem: Sound Bar (AS501PA) won't turn off automatically when computer shuts down.
I purchased a monitor (E207WFP) and the optional sound bar (AS501PA). Is it possible for my sound bar to automatically turn off when I shut down the computer without having to manually turn the knob on the sound bar to off?
If I do not turn the sound bar off when the computer shuts down, the sound bar lets me know--the bright blue LED remains on and the sound bar buzzes or hums loudly enough to be heard in the next room. It's a minor inconvenience, but one that I'd like to eliminate, if possible.
At work, my Dell sound bar turns off automatically when the computer powers off (shuts down), but my work computer is a laptop attached to a docking station. I'm not sure what monitor and sound bar I have at work, but I know the monitor is a different model.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

AFAIK, the AS501PA soundbar requires the user to turn it off. The loud buzzing sound is not normal, though. Maybe the volume level is set too high.
The similar AS501 soundbar gets its power directly from a Dell UltraSharp monitor. So, when the monitor is shut down, the soundbar also turns off. However, the E207WFP is not an UltraSharp monitor and is not compatible with the AS501.
