Problem with Dell E193FP Monitor
Help! I have a Dell XPS 400 with a E193FP Monitor. The other day I noticed that my display was vibrating/shaking a lot I tried to adust the settings using the on screed display menu, but nothing happened. Now I tried to turn on my comptuer, and I can see the computer turning on, but the monitor is blank. I pressed the menu button and it says that it is in powersaver mode.
I have taken the following steps:
(1) I turned off the computer and restarted it with the same results.
(2) I checked the power cable and the video cable to the computer to ensure that they were firmly connected.
(3) I took the power cord from the monitor and plugged them directly into the wall
Has my monitor just "gone out" or is this a problem with the video card? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know if your problem is fixed yet but sounds like you will need a part for your monitor if
you do not see the color block. http://www.lcdrepair.us/e193fpc-inverter-power.html It is worth a try if you have not purchased another monitor. It is easy to install. Just make sure the monitor has been unpluged for a few days just to be on the safe side. I would not just unplug it and start taking it apart (capacitor on the board/mercury vapors).
Dead cold is the best way to go.

When I checked the monitor, it showed the color bar. So it would seem that it's not a monitor problem. Can I assume that the next step is to replace my video card?
Thanks,
