Question about warranty/exchange?
Thinking about buying this monitor, U2715H, through a firiends company.
If I have to replace it because of factory failure. Do I need to leave it to my friend, or can I solve it directly with Dell by myself?
I like this monitor but a bit worried beacause of DisplayPort connector problems, flickering or not coming back from power saving mode? How common is those problems? Any of them corrected in later versions of the screen?
Thanks!

My advice, buy it directly from Dell so that you will receive the full Dell warranty, Dell order number, Dell customer number, and Dell service tag number, all tied to your name. If you buy from the friend, the warranty period has already started. You will need to transfer the service tag from him to you. You also need to make sure that your computer video card supports DP (DisplayPort) 1.2. I have only seen revision A00 in the Forums.

Well, the friend is buying it from a retail store and can do that whithout VAT. I guess warranty period starts when the deal is done in the store. i will get the monitor the same day.
But I didnt know I need to transfer a service tag from his company. Maybe there is not any big problems doing that. Just don´t want to involve him if any problems show up...
I have this graphics card in my PC http://www.gigabyte.se/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3784#ov And My laptop is a macbook pro retina from 2015.
Any Idea if theres gonna be a newer revision than A00 this year?
Thanks!

We are not notified if newer revisions are in the works.
The U2715H should work fine on the desktop PC with the AMD Radeon HD 6970:
Desktop AMD Radeon HD 6970 DP out --> U2715H DP to mDP cable --> U2715H mDP in
Although not tested by Dell, the MacBook Pro Thunderbolt 2.0/Mini-DisplayPort 1.2 out port should work on the U2715H:
MacBook Pro Thunderbolt 2.0/Mini-DisplayPort 1.2 out --> U2715H mDP to DP cable --> U2715H DP in
