It seems at max resolution for both of these monitors the max refresh rate is 60Hz, which is disappointing. But I hope it's not a hardware limitation but rather a driver one and that in the future they release a driver that makes it higher.
Do you think that acquiring a new video card that can handle 1608*1050@<60Hz willbe usefull, or whatever card I have I never will be able to set a frequency better than 60Hz ?
Well I just tested my monitor at 1680 x 1050 resolution and I still get 60 Hz. However, if I go lower to like 1280 x 1024 then I can set the refresh rate to 75 Hz. And I have the nVidia 7800 GTX, the latest and one of the most powerful cards out there. I'm pretty sure it can't any better with other card, so the best thing to do is to wait for new monitor and/or nVidia drivers that might adress the issue in the future.
