S2009W 20" ASPECT RATIO PROBLEM
hey guys i have this dell s2009w 20" widescreen monitor and i need to change the aspect ratio to square pixel so that i get black bars on left and right hand side.. can any one please tell me how to get those black bars?

I am using windows 7 and 9800gtx . I managed to get black bars on the desktop screen but when I run the game then it again goes to full screen. Please help

What operating system? What video card?

* Right click the desktop
* Click NVIDIA Control Panel
* Click Custom View- Define Custom View
* Put checks on all and choose Advanced Settings
* Click OK. It will refresh
* Under Display, click Adjust desktop size and position
* Choose from the choices
* Click Apply and or OK
Use NVIDIA scaling - stretches to fully fit screen
Use NVIDIA Scaling with fixed-aspect ratio - fills screen without distorting proportions (i.e. you'll see black bars at top/bottom or sides)
Use my display's built-in scaling - relies on your monitor, which probably stretches to full screen
Do not scale - no scaling, so images smaller than 1920x1080 will be centered on the screen, with a black border around it

Ya I tried this and desktop has black bars on the sides but when I run the game it stretches to full screen again

Then there must be a setting within the game that is taking control.
