S2240L soundbar

Question

Hi, this should be simple. I am interested in purchasing a S2240L monitor however want to get a soundbar with it rather than separate speakers. When I rang the Dell purchase number the lady was uncertain. OK, so do any of the existing Dell soundbars fit the S2240L?

Hi, I am interested in purchasing this S2240L Monitor.

I need to connect & play the Media Player thru HDMI & the external speakers thru 3.5mm jack. Pl. note there is no CPU. Will this monitor fulfill my needs?

Hi Mustud52,

The S2240L monitor does not come with a sound bar. So, if you want to purchase this monitor, then you will have to use separate speakers. However, you can consider looking at different models which support sound bars. Here are the model no's. of sound bars with their specifications and supported models.

The AX510 has two variants of speakers:

AX510 (Without Power Adapter): For displays that can be powered directly by a connection to the DC out port on the flat panel monitor.
AX510PA (With Power Adapter): For displays that does not have a DC out port, which can be powered with paired AC power adapter connected to a wall outlet. Usually for those flat panels monitor that without DC out port.

Based on the type of Display that either comes with or without a DC output , AX510/PA, the Sound Bar can be currently installed only on the following display models.

The AY511 is a premium design–oriented Flat Panel Display Sound Bar with VirtualSurround. Virtual surround technology makes sound appear to come from anywhere but the Sound Bar.
