S2309W Won't recognize computer
Hi,
I bought a S2309W monitor back in January and it has been working wonderfully until recently. Recently when I turn my computer on, it won't recognize it and it will go into power save mode. However, it does recognize it when I press the restart button of my computer. For the past two weeks I have had to restart the computer at least once for the monitor to work and it seems like the times that I need to reset have been increasing. I tried the computer with another monitor and it works perfectly fine right off the bat. What could the problem be? I haven't even used it for a full year yet.
Thanks!

The problem would appear to be your Video card NOT the monitor. The monitor only displays what is sent to it by the PC/Video card and if nothing is being sent then the monitor will not display.
You failed to include the PC model number/operating system and what video. We can only offer general suggestions without that. One general suggestion, if you have a separate video card would be to reseat the card and see if that helps. Reseat - with the PC powered off, disconnect the video cable, open the case and remove the Video card then reinstall making sure it's fully and correctly seated. Reconnect the monitor and power on to see if this helps.
Due to the fact you are having to repower to get it working, it could also be some other hardware item such as a power supply or motherboard, but the prime suspect would be the video card.
