S2340M LED - two monitors failing

Hello,

We own several S2340M monitors and two of them are experiencing an identical failure. The left side of the screen is discolored (darker greenish blue tint on white screen), every other horizontal pixel line is much darker and there is visible flickering on some colors. The right side of the screen is fine. The distortion gradually gets worse from right to left. We have performed the following tests:

  • Tried different cables and different computers
  • Checked cables and connections for bent pins
  • Auto adjust via OSD
  • Perform monitor self-test feature
  • Reset monitor to factory settings via OSD
  • Confirmed that the distortion is visible on test screens (press monitor buttons 1 + 4 for 2 seconds and cycling through colors)
We purchased the monitors in March 2013 new from Adorama Camera. Can you advise regarding warranty exchange procedure?

Since you did not purchase directly from Dell, follow these steps -
Contact Dell Order Support for your country. They will need to contact the Dell Tag Team through internal Chat WHILE you are on the phone with them. Provide the following information to the Order Support representative so they can feed the data to the Dell Tag Team via Chat:
Store = Adorama Camera
Purchase date =
Monitor Model = S2340M
Monitor 20 digit PPID alpha-numeric serial numbers =
[Your]
Email =
Name =
Shipping Address =
Phone =
The Tag Team will then attempt to create a unique Dell Order number tying you to the monitor PPID numbers. Once done, the Order Support person can then setup a like for like monitor exchange
