S2440L, Vostro 3500, resolution
I have a Vostro 3500 windows 7 64 bit and just purchased a dell s2440l monitor. resolution. The system only recognizes the monitor as generic pnp. I cant get 1980 x 1080. have a geforce310 m. Any suggestions?

What video out ports are on the laptop?
What cabling is being used to connect the laptop to the S2440L and to what port on the S2440L?
