S2440L, not working, nothing on screen
Hi,
Please provide assistance with this:
S2440Lb Lcd led monitor, not working, I can only see vertical black and brown (from soft-dark to light brown) lines.
The monitor settings, had not been modificated, and it was just plugged to the cpu.
I turn off the monitor, and disconnect from power and VGA, then I plugged back to the power source, turned on, and I had see the same vertical lines. Can't see the monitor settings.
My monitor was built in march 2014 in China, I must have like 8 months with it, with no constant use.
Already try to contact customer support, via chat but can't pass the service tag window.
Thanks

Monitor power button reset, BID (Built-in Diagnostics)
* Turn the monitor off
* Disconnect every cable (including the power cable) from the rear and side of the monitor
* If a mechanical monitor power button, press the button in for 8 seconds (clears any residual power in the circuits). If not a mechanical power button, just wait 8 seconds
* Reconnect ONLY the power cable to the monitor
* Turn the monitor on and run the BID (Built-in Diagnostics), page 39
- If the BID does not show the issue, the monitor itself is functional. The fault lies with either the cabling, video card, video card driver, or operating system
- If the issue appears on the BID gray/red/green/blue/black/white/text screens, the monitor is defective. There is not a service tag, so you would use the Dell order number to ascertain the warranty status
