S2716DG, DP versus HDMI, USB usage
Hi I was surprised to find out there is no built in audio which is fine. Can someone please explain to me if I am supposed to run the monitor with the display port cable or with an hdmi cable and which is better and why? Also what am I supposed to use the USB upstream cable for that was included? Thanks very much!

See page 11 of the S2716DG User's Guide
The DP (DisplayPort) 1.2 can do 2560x1440 60Hz/85Hz/100Hz/120Hz/144Hz.
The HDMI 1.4 can do 2560x1440 60Hz.
But those resolutions are contingent on the capabilities of the computer video card.
See pages 6, 9, 10, 19, 24 of the S2716DG User's Guide.
To activate the four S2716DG USB 3.0 downstream ports, you must connect the USB 3.0 upstream cable from the S2716DG USB 3.0 upstream port to a computer USB 3.0 in port.
