S2719DM, Ubuntu, no maximum resolution
Hi,
I have Lenovo L470 laptop and S2719DM but I can't get the maximum (2560x1440) resolution?
Lenovo L470
i7-7500U
Intel HD Graphics 620
24GB RAM
Ubuntu 16.04LTS (latest updates)
S2719DM is connected using mDP to HDMI converter and then Dell HDMI to HDMI cable which came with S2719DM. Checked Intel forums and I read there that "Intel HD Graphics 620" can reproduce 2560x1440. I also tried using Live USB with Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and still max resolution what I can get is 1920x1080.

I found solution.
Problem was in mDP to HDMI converter. This converter was with limitation and max resolution was 1080p.

You can see from the online S2719DM driver page that Ubuntu is not in the supported "Operating system" list. So the lack of a dedicated S2719DM Ubuntu driver could be the issue. But we cannot know this to be the issue because we did not test it. You should repost the issue on the Linux Forum board and see what other Linux users say.

Thank You. I will check Linux forum but i have to say that on other laptop (of course with different internals) with Ubuntu 16.04.
This monitor worked but this maybe because this laptop has nvidia card.
